About this challenge

Ten thousand steps is roughly 7–8 km of walking, spread across a day. It began as a marketing figure, but the habit it builds is real: most of the health benefit of walking is already banked well before 10,000, so if you are starting from a couple of thousand, every extra thousand counts. The challenge is less about the exact number than about moving more, most days, on purpose.

Tips to actually finish it

#Make it easier
Tip 1Take a 10-minute walk after each meal — three of those is around 3,000–4,000 steps.
Tip 2Park further away, take stairs, and pace on phone calls; the incidental steps add up fast.
